About Us The Nevada Coalition Against Sexual Violence began as a Task Force in November 1998. Forty individuals came together in northern Nevada to discuss the formation of a coalition that would be statewide, multi-disciplinary and collectively work toward shared interests and concerns of direct service providers and victim issues. In the spring of 1999, the Task Force became an open coalition. The NCASV is a 501c3 charitable organization with individual or agency membership available for a small fee. The commitment to low cost membership has allowed programs from across the state equal access to the coalition, especially in rural communities. Agencies and programs actively participate in our statewide organization, not just through membership, but also through meetings, professional education opportunities that strengthen services and resources, and free access to materials available through the NCASV Resource Library. Resource library materials include literature that can be distributed within the community, staff/volunteer training materials, prevention curriculums for school based programs, and a comprehensive media collection.
